I guess years of suffering through the Turkey Readings have caused sufficient brain damage that I've blocked out all the associated details.

In any event, good fundraisers for a couple of good causes (the auction at the closing ceremony of Willis' books for Aunt Leah's was especially impressive).

Most importantly, great job on this year's con! Really, this was the best in the past few years. Thanks for your efforts on the committee!

Robin/bloginhood
Robin Shantzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04898683891101365304noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19079986.post-23685730893529277392012-10-01T21:14:19.384-07:002012-10-01T21:14:19.384-07:00Hey, just a minor correction (I'm on the VCON ...Hey, just a minor correction (I'm on the VCON ConCom).

The funds from the Turkey Reading always go to CUFF - The Canadian Unity Fan Fund (http://cometdust.ca/CUFF/Welcome.html or https://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=group_6119342503) - and not VCON's chosen charity.

Also, instead of our usual "silent auction" there was a live auction of hats that had been decorated by artists in the art gallery. Plus there was a contest where for, I think, $2 you could try to guess which hat was made by which artist and win a prize.Jenni Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07354200175661104025noreply@blogger.com
