It's called Invaders From Planet 3, and I think it should be fun.
In each episode, I'll interview an author or other professional connected with speculative fiction (editors, critics, podcasters, performers, or publishers). We'll start by talking about their first love in science fiction or fantasy — or any of the niches in between or related genres — and from there the discussion could go... anywhere. The criteria for selecting a guest is that I have to know the person's work and enjoy it, and they have to be interesting to talk with. I've interviewed eight authors for this inaugural season of the show, and I think you'll enjoy hearing their thoughts as much as I did. Then, at the end of the season, there'll be a "voice of the fans" episode, where we'll hear from a group of fans about their first loves in sf. I thought it was important to include the fan perspective because fans are as important as authors and other professionals. Together we form the speculative fiction community. As such, I'm looking forward to hearing from you in the comments section after each episode is posted.
In terms of scheduling, the show will be more-or-less biweekly, although I'll be releasing the first three episodes all at once. This will let you move on right away from the short introductory episode into the interview episodes to get a real feel for the show. And I'm hoping that having at least three episodes up and running right away will help facilitate getting it onto iTunes.
